University of Guelph
University of Guelph is ranked as Canada's 4th best university as according to Maclean's and is a very diverse campus that employs a lot of people within the Guelph area and has a lot of students in the area that constitute to a trendy and knowledgable population. Guelph also has the world's 4th best Veterinary College and a world renknowned Agricultural College.
Conestoga College is a satellite in Guelph university that offers an alternative to getting a degree from the university."
EASE OF COMMUTING
Guelph has an extensive transit system that serves over 28 routes with 70 buses. The main terminals are located at downtown Guelph and at University of Guelph, with smaller facilities at Stone Road Mall and SmartCentres on Woodlawn.
Guelph's Go Train connects commuters to both Waterloo, Mississiauga and Toronto Go Stations quite easily. It is quite a central hub that allows easy access to all corridors in Ontario.
SHOPPING & GOING OUT
Stone Road Mall is the main shopping mall and has 150 brand name stores & other small booths. Downtown Guelph also hosts a lot of speciality shops and boutiques that complete any downtown locality.
There are also a lot of strip plazas and local shopping outlets spread out through out the city that cater to all the needs that one could have.
Downtown Guelph is host to many clubs, bars and lounges that cater to the younger student crowd as well as more upscale and sophisticated establishments
